Novo vrijeme - novi izazov: pokazati što je lijepo, istinito i novo u origamiju
Gourmet Japanese dishes, charity and origami - is it possible to combine the three? Sisters Anita & Sanja Kozina invited three origami artists to join their event Veseli stol – the Happy Table in Cogito Urania café.
The concept of the event was a charity dinner featuring Japan.
The entire income of the dinner was donated to the Therapeutic Horse Riding Association Krila for arranging a playroom within the project Integration through play.
Cheers to the team of the Happy Table :)

10. lipnja 2021. je vrlo poseban dan za mene i naše origami društvo. Rad i nastojanja naše origami zajednice doživjeli su visoko priznanje, a mi smo bili dirnuti i počašćeni prijemom u Japanskoj rezidenciji u Zagrebu. Hrvatsko origami društvo (HOD) dobilo je priznanje Ministra vanjskih poslova Japana.

10th of June 2021 is a very special day for me and our origami society. Work and strivings of our origami community have been recognized and we were touched and honoured by the reception at the Japanese residence in Zagreb. The Croatian Origami Society (HOD) received the Commendation from the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Svečanost uručenja Priznanja otvorila je veleposlanica Japana, gospođa Kanji Misako, a prigodni govor su održali gospođa Iva Mostarčić iz Ministarstva kulture, gospodin veleposlanik Dražen Margeta iz MVEP-a te predsjednica HOD-a, gospođa Sanja Srbljinović Čuček.
The Commendation ceremony was opened by the Ambassador of Japan, Ms Kanji Misako, and a speech was given by Ms Iva Mostarčić from the Ministry of Culture, Mr Dražen Margeta from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President of the HOD, Ms Sanja Srbljinović Čuček.
It has been an exceptional honour for the Croatian Origami Society to receive the Japanese Foreign Minister's Commendation. We are glad that our work on popularizing origami has helped promote Japanese culture in Croatia. At Japanese events, our origami society has always been a welcome guest, and we have enjoyed building origami bridges in science, art and education, connecting cultures and people. We believe that this Commendation will further enhance our cooperation with the Embassy of Japan as well as with the Croatian scientific, educational and cultural institutions. It is great encouragement in our further work and efforts.
