Trust your hands, trust your fingers, fold origami

There is hardly anyone who has not folded a paper plane in their lifetime.

Do you remember the joy of rustling paper in your hands, soaring it into the sky, watching the gracious landing?

Revive trust in your hands, make your fingers nimble again!
Nimble fingers make nimble minds.

The secret lies in folding origami :)

In Japan, the term takumi is used to describe a master craftsman who has perfected his skills over years of painstaking work and dedication. An aspiring takumi is challenged to fold a seemingly simple origami cat with their non-dominant hand in under 90 seconds.

Origami Blossoms in Opatija

Camellia Festival in a majestic touristic gem Opatija hosted origami workshops. I was invited
by the Camellia Lovers Association to teach origami in the magnificent Villa Angiolina.

Festival kamelija u čuvenom turističkom biseru Opatiji ugostio je radionice origamija.
Bila sam pozvana iz Udruge ljubitelja kamelija poučavati origami u predivnoj Villi Angiolini.

I also brought diagrams for my Camellia Japonica with me,
in case any experienced origami artists came along.

Ponijela sam i dijagrame za svoju Camelliu Japonicu,
u slučaju da naiđu iskusni origamisti.

We folded traditional Japanese camellias and origami models as desired.
Paper birds flapped, grasshoppers and frogs jumped, and faces lit up with smiles.

Savijali smo tradicionalnu japansku kameliju i origami modele po željama.
Zalepršale su papirnate ptice, poskočili skakavci i žabice, a lica se ozarila osmijehom.
