Gourmet Japanese dishes, charity and origami - is it possible to combine the three? Sisters Anita & Sanja Kozina invited three origami artists to join their event Veseli stol – the Happy Table in Cogito Urania café.

 

The concept of the event was a charity dinner featuring Japan. 

 

The entire income of the dinner was donated to the Therapeutic Horse Riding Association Krila for arranging a playroom within the project Integration through play.

Origami za ohrabrenje - Origami for Encouragement

“Što vam je teže, to se više morate igrati,“ podijelio je s nama znanstveni inženjer John Cohn u svom TEDx govoru. Promišljajući TED govor pionira istraživanja igre, dr. Stuarta Browna “Igra je više od zabave”,  odlučila sam pružiti priliku za igru papirom dijeleći svoje dijagrame. Iskoristila sam vrijeme naše karantene da dijagramiram po jedan origami model dnevno i objavim na Facebooku Hrvatskog origami društva i svom LinkedInu.  Tu ih je nekoliko.

“The harder it gets, the harder you have to play,“ shared with us the engineer scientist John Cohn in his TEDx talk. Having in mind the TED talk by a pioneer in research on play, Dr. Stuart Brown “Play is more than fun”, I decided to offer some opportunities to play with paper by sharing my diagrams. I used my pandemic lockdown time to diagram one origami model a day, and post it on Croatian Origami Society's Facebook and my LinkedIn. Here are some of them.

Briig boutique hotel and NPO JCEA Japanese-Croatian Exchange Association, organized a day of Japanese culture at this top-class Split hotel.

U dizajnerski profinjeni ambijent savršeno su se uklopile majstorske kaligrafije japanskih umjetnika, a moja je misija bila posjetitelje oduševiti za origami. Srdačna atmosfera okruglog stola stopila se s brižnim šuškanjem papirića. Preteško pitanje - ponijeti origami u rukama ili u srcu? The masterful calligraphy of Japanese artists smoothly blended in with the sophisticated interior design, and my mission was to delight visitors with origami. The warm atmosphere of the round table mingled with the careful rustling of the papers. The crucial question – to bring origami in your hands, or in your heart?
